What is this IT Audit all about?
A simplified way - So the IT Department and other Lines Of business within an enterprise has different activities and operations going on. The company wants these activities to to be in line with the set procedures & policies. The role of the IT Auditor in to enforce this policies and also assess and evaluate that controls (Processes set to mitigate risk) are working efficiently and effectively.
Do I have to be Tech savvy before I can get a job?
No, you do not have to be Tech savvy before doing this training or applying for jobs. So far you can use a computer, all you have to do is to be consistent in the class and understand how the Audit process is conducted. Some students that has gotten jobs do not have any prior IT skills but due to dedication, they were able to secure jobs.
How long does the training take?
Training takes about 5 - 6 weeks. It has 2 sections - The theory and the practical ( Live data) sections. Here you will understand the overview, introduction, some vital terminology and a break down of the entire process. The duration assign to each agenda should give you a better understanding.
If I miss a class, how do I meet up?
For some reason you miss a class you can always go back to the video sections on the website and watch it, or you can record the class yourself.
What is the mode of training?
Training is done online, using a screen share where individuals connects to the classroom and materials are used to explain various sections of the process. The class is very interactive, you can always ask questions on the go and also listen to other individual questions.
How are interviews conducted?
Interviews are usually done in 1, 2 or 3 phases all depends on the hiring company. Usually a phone interview, Skype or face to face.
